Meet The Team
Lyndsey Batty
Managing Director Mindspace / Advanced PBS Practitioner
Lyndsey is the Managing Director of Mindspace, overseeing Mindspace and supervising the PBS team as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, delivering knowledge, skills, and quality services using evidence-based practices. Lyndsey focuses strongly on advocacy, improving quality of life, and developing a shared understanding of why challenging behaviours may occur – assessing the impact of the social environment, physical environment, and broader context on the person.
Lyndsey has over 17 years of experience within the not-for-profit sector and the NDIS, spanning disability, mental health, and aged care. She has completed various studies related to her role, including a BSc in Psychology, Positive Behaviour Support Studies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and a Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Lyndsey has a passion for knowledge and plans to complete a Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy/Social Work.
Shaz Hossein

Shaz is a dedicated and compassionate professional committed to helping individuals overcome challenges, reclaim control over their lives, and ensure their voices are heard. With a strong focus on improving the quality of life and achieving meaningful goals, Shaz brings a heartfelt passion to every aspect of her work.
With a background in community services and youth work, a double major in Psychology and Counselling, and currently completing a master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling, Shaz combines academic excellence with real-world experience. Her deep understanding of human behaviour and mental health is the foundation of her practice, allowing her to provide insightful and effective support.
With over a decade of experience in mental health, NDIS, employment services, psychosocial recovery, and positive behaviour support practice, Shaz has positively impacted many individuals’ lives. Her approach is tailored to each person’s unique needs, empowering them to navigate life’s complexities with confidence and resilience.
Shaz is more than a practitioner; she is a dedicated ally on the path to a brighter future. Her unwavering commitment to personal growth and recovery makes her an invaluable resource for anyone seeking to improve their mental health and overall quality of life. After completing her current master’s degree, Shaz will be pursuing further postgraduate studies in Applied Behaviour Analysis and social work.
Natasha Edhouse
Registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
Tash is an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with 18 years of diverse professional background. Her career encompasses both the education and health sectors, where she has significantly contributed to supporting individuals with various needs. Tash has taught children aged 0-13, focusing on primary and early childhood education for those with disabilities. In the health sector, she has led impactful projects, offering evidence-based therapy to adults dealing with mental health, behavioural, and addiction challenges.
Committed to a positive, evidence-based approach, Tash is passionate about continuous learning and applying strategies such as ACT, FACT and motivational interviewing. She excels at building strong, supportive relationships with individuals, their families and support staff creating constructive environments that foster positive behavioural outcomes. Her dedication to a people-centred approach ensures that each person’s unique needs are met with compassion and effectiveness, reflecting her commitment to meaningful and transformative support.
Deborah Woon
Registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Deb supports clients diagnosed with neurodevelopmental conditions, where she undertakes clinical assessments and observations, develops behaviour therapy support plans, provides behavioural therapy, and provides recommendations to clients, families and their support networks within a multidisciplinary team, in support of increasing clients’ quality of life. She has been working as a Psychosocial Recovery Coach and Specialist Support Coordinator, where she works with clients across the lifespan experiencing barriers in their recovery journey, impacted by past trauma, Complex-PTSD, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorders.
Deb currently works primarily with caseload of paediatric clients and collaborates with their families and the school system in providing clinical recommendations to assist with increasing the clients’ quality of life and develop adaptive coping strategies to increase empowerment in their lives.
She received an Award Nomination in 2021 with the WA Department of Communities (Psychosocial Recovery Coaching – Emerging Leader Category) for her work with clients and their families.
Deb is also a Registered Clinical Supervisor and Registered Clinical Counsellor and Psychotherapist. Deb has had extensive experience in the mental health counselling space, in both agencies and in private practice. She has provided counselling services for complex and single-incident trauma, in drug and alcohol and life transitions, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. She has worked in the mental health disability space in the area of psychosocial recovery coaching and is involved in Clinical Assessments and Treatment Planning with clients diagnosed with mental health diagnosis, and neurodevelopmental conditions. She is an empathetic and person-centred mental health clinician who believes in empowering the individual to have their needs and goals supported. Deb possesses postgraduate qualifications in counselling including a Master of Counselling and has been trained in Complex Trauma as a Clinical Complex Trauma Specialist. She has also recently received her clinical certification training as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, to deliver Trauma-informed neurodiversity affirming therapy for clients with Autism & ADHD.
Having gained experience in various agencies in the counselling space, Deb is a principal and director of an established counselling private practice and provides counselling and psychotherapy to clients across the lifespan.
Deb is passionate about her work with her clients and their families and uses evidence-based therapeutic strategies in her role as PBS Practitioner, Psychosocial Recovery Coach and Specialist Support Coordinator.
She is passionate about the mental health space and is deeply passionate about supporting her clients in an empathic and client-centred manner.
Deb has long-term goals of furthering her learning by pursuing a PhD or Doctorate in a specific mental health research area of interest to her, that has arisen from her multifarious experience in past and present mental health work involvements, to further contribute to clinical theory and practice within the mental health field.
Catherine Collins
Registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
Catherine is a dedicated and experienced professional with extensive experience in positive behaviour support, disability support, and education. She completed her Bachelor of Education through Notre Dame University and completed a Certificate IV in Individual Support (Disability) through South Metropolitan Tafe.
Catherine has a passion for social justice. She is deeply committed to working with individuals, especially those with disabilities, and aims to support and empower them to achieve the highest quality of life. Catherine believes that with the right support and encouragement, every individual can flourish.
Nathan Mansell
Registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
Nathan is a registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner situated in the Geraldton office. Nathan has previously worked as a Manager (Clinical Care) with an NDIS registered Supported Independent Living (SIL) service provider in Queensland and has recently worked in Positive Behaviour Support in Queensland before relocating to Western Australia. Nathan possesses extensive knowledge and experience of NDIS and Government legislation, policies and procedures, to provide the high-quality ethical support to participants.
He holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science with a double major in Psychology and Criminology, and Master of Social Work from the University of Tasmania, and is currently undertaking a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis with Monash University. Nathan is primarily focused on the human rights of NDIS participants, with specific emphasis on improving their overall quality of life.
